A Bushel and a Peck: Oxymel Tutorial

A Bushel and a Peck: Oxymel Tutorial:  What is an oxymel?   An oxymel is just a sweet and sour herbal syrup. It contains: vinegar, honey & herbs. They’re very beneficial for...

Good Monday morning! It's a typical April day here in Western PA-rain showers...but better than the 4+" of snow we had over the weekend! If Easter hadn't been so early, it probably would have been labeled as such. But then, who knows-we could have snow in May! And most likely having to mow grass in between! And there's still the "onion snow"...definitely not feeling Spring yet! That said, brings me to this great article about Bee Balm. I can't seem to rid myself of a sore throat these last few months and I have successfully treated an upper respiratory infection - on my own! - with Herbs and Essential Oils! But this nagging sore throat :( anyone who treats RSD/CRPS or other chronic nerve disorders knows how awful getting "something" is...we can't rid ourselves of it easily. So, I've been infusing what's left of dried herbs from last year and one of them is Bee Balm. It still smells SO good and the oxymel I made is ready for use-just in time for my sore throat (and hopefully some easing of the nerves, after hubby was just in ICU for HBP and high sugar) I also have Lemon Balm and Chamomile for symptoms too, hoping the aroma calms everyone in the house-including the dogs who want outside all the time, since we had a couple of weeks of Spring in February!
Enjoy the tutorial on oxymels and since it's such a yucky day, come get a Malibu Makeover at the shop-discount on Malibu services are a great way to start the week!
God bless...
